KPR rescues many Pugs, and the majority of them are in need of medical care. Most of the Pugs get better and go on to lead long, happy lives. Some however, do not. These are the Pugs that KPR has taken in who have a terminal illness. KPR is dedicated to making the last months, weeks, or days of their lives comfortable, and letting these Pugs know that someone loves them and cares about them. For some Pugs, this is the first time in their lives they know what the love of a family, a warm home and a full belly feels like.

KPR will take in any needy Pug, regardless of health, temperament or age. Please donate to help KPR continue to be able to help ALL pugs that come to us.

Gus' Pals for Pugs
In memory of Frank Phillips from Cary Grayheart

GusGus or Gus (# 844) is a 6-year old Puggle (Pug/Beagle Cross). Gus is diabetic and blind but his foster mom says he’s the easiest dog to take care of – he comes when he is called and waits after his meal for his insulin shot. Gus is house trained and is super smart, catching on to things rapidly. Even though Gus is blind, he gets around just as well as the other dogs in the house. He runs and plays, climbs up and down stairs and even walks on a leash. Please consider giving Gus the loving home that he deserves.
