Sunny is a wonderful 6 year old male pug. He is lovable and snuggly. He has a thyroid condition that made him gain weight and requires him to take a pill once a day.

Jake and Ellwood  were running the streets of Louisville. Jake is 14 pounds and about 5 or 6 years old. He is the mastermind of the two. He is smart and likes to dance for treats. Ellwood is 16 pounds and about 4 years old. He is the cuddlier of the two.

Peanut and Jelly are super-sweet bonded brothers who are happy to be anywhere, as long as it is in your lap. Very intelligent and very well behaved.

Bubba and Precious are both 7 years old and originally came from a breeder. They were adopted by a loving family who cared for them, but due to unfortunate family circumstances, they came back to KPR. They are absolutely the sweetest couple you will ever meet. Bubba is very laid back and calm. Precious is the alpha of the pair and keeps everyone around her in line.

Beaner is a 10-year old female that came to the rescue as her elderly owner could no longer physically or financially take care of her. This sweet, spunky girl suffers from a neurological injury and hip dysplasia which causes her to drag her back legs. She can walk, but cannot do stairs, or jumping of any kind.

Zoe came to KPR emaciated and with an apparent cigarette burn on one of her small legs. She also had a skin infection, worms, an ear infection and a hernia.  Zoe found her Forever Home the week of Thanksgiving. She now lives with her new family, which includes a new brother pug, Sir Bozworth, and her new sister pug, Penny.

Dobby is 5 years old and was surrendered due to a severely allergic child with asthma.  He was adopted by a family in Indianapolis in October 2004!

Stumpy came to us from the Last Chance Chi Rescue in Franklin County, KY, a division of the Little Feet Rest and Rescue after being dropped off at the Bowling Green Humane Society by owners who let her have so many litters that her insides were falling out. She looks almost exactly like a pug but some features are making us think she is a mix.

Sir Bozworth is a black, AKC registered male.  His left eye was damaged by a big dog when he was a puppy...he has vision in it, but it looks a little different than the other eye.

Maggie is a 4 yr old, 28 lb. (pleasantly plump and on weight control!), fawn female who is house and leash trained and whose only medical problem is her anal glands from time to time. She isn't to fond of babies and toddlers but children 5 and up will be fine. She does ok with other animals as long as they don't get in her face. her favorite toy is her kong.

Tony came to us from a loving home, but still has some "nightmares" from his owner before the loving home. We estimate he is about 5 years old. He likes other dogs, as long as they stay out of his face...apparently he doesn't like dog breath!

Gizmo was rescued from a VERY high kill shelter on the day he was to be put down...thanks to Jen Marshall-Sumner for getting him in the nick of time. He is an adorable black male Pug/Chihuahua mix, but totally looks like a Pug and is soooooo cute!

Abby is a special needs pug who was hit by a car and suffered some minor neurological damage from a head injury around the age of 2. Her back legs do not function.  Abby was adopted and has found her forever home!

Nick was an owner surrender. He is 4 years old and had been severely neglected.  He found his forever family in February.  The Neisen family from Nobelsville, IN adopted Nick.  Their 3 kids LOVE him. They have one other pug, a spayed female, "Pudgy". They seem to like each other and have their own carpeted room where they sleep at night.
