Petunia was fostered with our family for only a few months, but we had grown to love the quirky little girl. She came to KPR in January from the Westie and Scottie Rescue in Martinsville, Indiana where she had been loved and cared for since September. She quickly made herself at home and started showing us all of the things she loved. Petunia loved meal time, looked forward to bath time, and would put up a fight to protect the toys she felt were only hers. On March 6th, 2008 she reluctantly went to the vet to have a surgery that would help her breathe better. Unfortunately, Petunia's little heart wasn't strong enough to support her during the stress of surgery. We will greatly miss Little Petunia Girl but will never forget her smiling face.
