This dedication was written by Cynthia, Nikkie's first foster Mom. Gina, who is mentioned in this dedication, wanted to adopt Nikkie and when her diagnois was made, decided she wanted Nikkie with her until the end, no matter how long that was. Gina held Nikkie in her arms as she crossed the Bridge..............

I want to start by saying thanks to KPR for all their support, love and prayers given to Nikkie since she came into our lives in January 2007.

Nikkie was an extraordinary lil' girl. Although she came to us very ill, she never gave up hope for the day she would recover and enjoy her life as a 2 year old pug. She was a fighter and never complained about her illnesses. She woke up everyday ready to enjoy whatever the day would bring. Some days were better than others, but that didn't stop her. She loved to go for car rides and especially visiting people. On one occasion, Gina took her to a nursing home to visit family and It goes without saying that Nikkie was a HIT!! I believe her favorite time spent was hanging out at Noah's soccer practice and games. She also enjoyed coming to our house and hanging out with the "Girls" (Jenny and Claire). Kemo was always looking over her and making sure she was okay at all times. I think he may even had a little crush on Nikkie (lol's).

We prayed and prayed for her to still be with us, but God had other plans for her. We accept God's will, but it doesn't make it any easier to let her go. We know that she is in a better place, running, eating ANYTHING she wants, healthy and smiling upon us as we speak. We find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and will not have to suffer ever again.

To us, she is and will always be our ANGEL....In remembrance of Nikkie.......................................

"If Tears Could Build A Stairway
And Memories A Lane
I'd Walk Right Up To Heaven
And Bring You Home
Again."
